Hello and welcome! If you’ve never experienced church at ALPC, we are excited for your visit. We know you will leave encouraged and refreshed by the genuine worship and authentic Bible teaching. Come expecting great things!
We don’t believe in sideline Christianity. God has built specific purpose and calling into each one of us, and it is the mission of ALPC to see that calling come to life in your faith journey. If you’ve been praying about where to find your purpose and calling in the kingdom of God, ALPC is the church for you.
We call ourselves Pentecostal because we have experienced the same miraculous conversion that was written about in the second chapter of the book of Acts. 120 followers were gathered in the Upper Room waiting on the promise from Jesus, which He spoke of in John 14. As referenced in the Bible as the day of Pentecost, the Holy Ghost fell on His followers as He had promised. Following this experience, the first church and body of believers were formed. The books following Acts are instructions, primarily from Paul, to the believers who had already received the Holy Ghost.
Our beliefs follow the words of Peter on the day of Pentecost when he was asked by the crowd, “what must we do to be saved?”
REPENTANCE.
We must repent (turn away from) of our sins. We do this by asking Jesus to forgive us. Luke 24:47; II Peter 3:9; Acts 2:38
BAPTISM.
We must be water-baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of our sins. John 3:5; Acts 2:38, 8:16, 10:48, 19:5
SPIRIT INFILLING.
We are promised the gift of His Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues. John 7:37-39; Acts 2:4, 2:38, 8:17-18, 9:17, 10:44-47, 19:6
